Senior Sales Development Representative

About the Role
Cargas is hiring a Senior Sales Development Representative to own inbound pipeline creation and alignment for our Enterprise Solutions team.
In this role, you'll lead early-stage customer conversations—understanding needs, qualifying fit, and aligning prospects to the right solutions across such as Sage Intacct, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, and Acumatica. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys discovery and shaping opportunities without owning full-cycle deal closing.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage inbound leads quickly to deliver a strong first experience
• Conduct discovery conversations to assess fit and solution alignment
• Convert qualified leads into well-positioned discovery meetings
• Partner with Business Development on smooth, informed handoffs
• Track lead activity and insights in HubSpot
• Share feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness
• Identify ways to improve speed-to-lead and conversion
• Meet performance goals (meetings booked, SLAs, conversion rates)
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related customer-facing role involving discovery and qualification
• Strong ability to assess needs and guide early-stage customer conversations
• Track record of turning leads or interest into meaningful next steps
• Excellent communication skills, especially in live conversations
• Ability to explain complex offerings in a clear, practical way
• Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working toward metrics
• Experience using CRM or sales tools (HubSpot preferred; similar tools also relevant)
Additional Experience We Value
• Experience with ERP, CRM, or business systems
• Exposure to consultative or multi-solution sales environments
• Experience working with Marketing or Business Development teams
